Protocol Converters

Excellent inexpensive protocol conversion

A fiber media converter is a simple networking device that makes it possible to connect two dissimilar media types such as twisted pair with fiber optic cabling. They were introduced to the industry nearly two decades ago, and are important in interconnecting fiber optic cabling-based systems with existing copper-based, structured cabling systems. They are also used in metropolitan area network (MAN) access and data transport services to enterprise customers.

Fiber media converters support many different data communication protocols including Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, T1/E1/J1, DS3/E3, as well as multiple cabling types such as coax, twisted pair, multi-mode and single-mode fiber optics. Media converter types range from small standalone devices and PC card converters to high port-density chassis systems that offer many advanced features for network management.

Converters provide conversion between ITU-T G.703 standard E1 interface and standard V.35 interface, can convert E1 channel of SDH, PDH, and other Optical Transmission Equipment or microwave, satellite Equipment to V.35 channel, Extend V.35 channel of DDN.

Used widely in data communication networks, Connecting with V.35 interface of Routers and Optical Transmission Equipments without G.703 interface, realize match between different network equipments, and transparent to upper protocol layer.

ITU-T G.703 E1 channel to Ethernet interface conversion is widely used in connecting between WAN and LAN, monitoring, etc.

Inverse multiplexers transmit up 8 Mbps channel over multiple E1 links. They bridge the gap between E1 and E3, allowing bridges and routers to operate at their fastest rates.

You may need to Convert RS-232 or RS-485/422 serial interfaces to E1 (2Mbps), conforming ITU-T G.703 standard, and transmit the data to ROUTER or other devices. The mode of interface is DCE, and it can be connected with DTE or DCE devices.
